During the summer of 2019, local artists and residents of the CDN-NDG borough were invited to decorate the public pianos, installed by the City of Montréal with the help of a cultural mediator. Once the piano was decorated, musicians of different backgrounds were invited to play 30-minute sets of traditional songs from their own culture.
This project made it possible to create a dialogue between local artists from culturally diverse backgrounds and the inhabitants of the neighbourhood in an atmosphere of openness, solidarity and sharing.
Help us break down cultural barriers!
We need your support in order to accomplish our mission of educating and sensibilizing the members of different Montreal communities, and to raise awareness about cultural diversity with hopes to put an end to racism.
