Materials (provided): Construction cardboard, glue sticks, stickers , scissors, sugar paste.
The activity begins with an explanation of this Mexican tradition. Later, the children will create a cardboard skull with the principle of symmetry, which they will decorate in the traditional Mexican way. They will also make paper flowers, sugary fruits, a small frame to stick a photo, and papel picado (cut paper). Children can take their small altar home or create a larger one with the group.
